19/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - In a letter to the president of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) Michel Delebarre, German Chancellor Angela Merkel reaffirms her desire to do all in her power to retain “the substance of the Constitutional Treaty”, including “the explicit recognition of local and regional autonomy and respect for the principle of subsidiarity”.
