19/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 17 April, the European Commission adopted a draft directive relating to the installation of lighting and light-signalling devices on wheeled agricultural and forestry tractors. The purpose of this proposal is to undertake a codification of Council Directive 78/933/EEC of 17 October 1978 and its subsequent amendments on the installation of lighting and light-signalling devices on such vehicles. In other words, it fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and does no more than bring them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
