13/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - British Conservative MEP Malcolm Harbour, in a press release, has welcomed the EP internal market committee's adoption of the compromise drawn up with the Commission and Council on cars converted for use by wheelchair users. He says that these specifications guarantee access by people with disabilities to this type of vehicle without making manufacturing costs prohibitive. The text will be put to Parliament at its next plenary session. (oj)
