13/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 13 April, the Commission approved the joint acquisition of APN News & Media Limited (“APN”, Australia) by Independent News & Media PLC (“INM”, Ireland), in cooperation with the private equity fund Providence Equity Partners VI International L.P. and the capital investment fund Carlyle Asia Partners II LP, both of which are American. The operation was examined under the simplified procedure. (cd)
