08/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance under EU Merger Regulation to the acquisition of joint control of Sdu N.V. (Sdu) of the Netherlands by ABN AMRO Capital BO Funds B.V. (AAC) of the Netherlands, belonging to the ABN AMRO Group, and Allianz Capital Partners GmbH (ACP), which is controlled by the Allianz Group of Germany. ACP is active in financial investments. Sdu, currently wholly owned by the Dutch state, is mainly active in publishing legal information for professional users and organising related courses, seminars and conferences. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
