Commission gives go-ahead to two acquisitions

Brussels, 05/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 5 March, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to French company Areva's plans to acquire German company REpower Systems, a wind farm manufacturer. The European Commission also authorised acquisition of joint control of US travel agent Sabre Holdings Corporation, by TPG Partners V, L.P. and Silver Lakes Partners II, L.P., two US capital investment funds.
