Brussels, 09/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - In a speech in Washington on Friday 9 February, Mariann Fischer Boel, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, called upon the United States to redouble their efforts to guarantee the success of the Doha Round of the WTO on trade liberalisation. She defended the long way the EU has come to ensure the success of these negotiations and called on the United States not to adopt its Farm Bill, which goes against this objective.
