05/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Commission will be publishing a report on 15 February on the implementation, since May 2006, of Directive 2004/25/EC on public acquisitions, Charlie McCreevy told the press last week. Dissatisfied by a legislative text which, in his view, takes one step backward compared to the Commission's initial ambitions, the European Commissioner for internal market policy nonetheless did not wish to reopen a discussion that had lasted eleven years (see EUROPE 8677).
