Commission to present its proposals on improving regulatory framework of automotive sector on Wednesday

Brussels, 22/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - After consulting stakeholders over a period of more than two years, and working from the recommendations of the high level CARS 21 group (December 2005, EUROPE 9087), the Commission is expected, on Wednesday, to adopt a communication setting out proposals to improve the regulatory framework of the European automotive sector in order to improve the competitiveness of the Community industry on the world level.
