Olli Rehn welcomes new Bulgarian and Romanian members - Equal opportunities, European society and EU cohesion central to agenda

Brussels, 15/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will meet for its plenary session on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 January in Brussels, under the chairmanship of Dimitris Dimitriadis. Commissioner Olli Rehn will address the plenary at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, in order to welcome the new Bulgarian and Romanian members of the EESC. He will also make a speech on the enlargement of the EU.
