Towards agreement between Madrid and Berlin over E.ON/Endesa

Brussels, 13/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - We are all hoping for a happy ending in the E.ON/Endesa affair, the spokesperson to the Commissioner in charge of Competition declared on Wednesday, adding that if there are any changes to the conditions imposed on this merger by the Spanish regulator, then these conditions must be notified to the Commission, which will verify that they are compatible with European rules.
