11/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has warmly welcomed the 2006-2008 Action Plan on simplifying the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), fully backing the objectives set out by the European Commission to cut the cost of red tape for civil services and fishermen. The report by Philippe Morillon (ALDE-ED, France) was adopted without amendment by the plenary on 6 September (see EUROPE No. 9251).
