01/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - A spokesperson for the European Parliament, Jaume Duch, said on Friday that the EP's Conference of Presidents of the political groups would be approving next Thursday the recommendation by Francis Wurtz, President of the GUE/NGL group, to invite the Lebanese prime minister Siniora to visit the EP. Duch said there had been agreement among the Presidents of the political groups on the question on 31 August. He added that the Romanian president and the president of Liberia would be visiting the European Parliament during the second plenary in September, and the president of Chile and the president of Hungary would be visiting in October. The Bulgarian president is visiting Strasbourg next week, as is the president of Finland.
