07/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - A spokesperson for Neelie Kroes told reporters on Friday that the European Commission would be examining the Microsoft case on 12 July to decide whether or not to impose a fine. Microsoft may be fined EUR 2 million a day for failing to comply with its interoperability obligations as outlined in the March 2004 decision, applied retroactively to 15 December 2005, the deadline initially set by the European Commission in its statement of objections (see Europe 9096)...
