In Germany, SIEMENS has bought out the diagnostic branch of BAYER for €4.2 bn, making it third largest company in the world for medical equipment, behind ROCHE and ABBOTT. The company taken over by SIEMENS employed 5,400 and had a turnover of €1.4 bn.
