28/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance to the acquisition of joint control of Playa Hotels & Resorts, S.L by Merrill Lynch L.P. Holdings, Cabana Investors B.V. and Barceló Corporación Empresarial, S.A. The latter is a Spanish company that is active in the purchase and development of holiday centres in Mexico. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
