Venice Commission gives detailed opinion on CIA activity in Europe

Brussels, 30/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 22 March, independent experts from the European Commission for democracy through law of the Council of Europe (the “Venice Commission”) issued their opinion on the international legal obligations of the Council of Europe Member States concerning secret detention centres and the inter-state transfer of prisoners.
