Discussions at 11th EU/Japan symposium focus on impact of globalisation on employment and workers

Brussels, 20/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The 11th EU/Japan Symposium meeting in Brussels on 20 and 21 March, attended by Social Affairs and Employment Commissioner Vladimir Spidla and Japan's Vice Minister for Health, Labour and Welfare, Toshikazu Togari, as well as the social partners concerned, allowed participants to discuss the consequences that globalisation would have on employment and on worker employability. On this occasion, Mr Spidla stressed the importance of “flexicurity”...
