The Spanish construction and services group, FERROVIAL (turnover EUR 7.27 billion in 2005), is preparing a bid on BAA - BRITISH AIRPORT AUTHORITY (turnover EUR 3.08 billion for the financial period ending 31 March 2005 with 12,500 employed), which manages the main British airports, for a sum that could reach EUR 14 billion (875 pence per share), analysts say. The offer is for cash within the context of a consortium.
