Commission reaction to boycott on Danish products by Iran is being examined

Brussels, 07/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Commission stated it was looking at the “possible reaction” that it could make to Iran's decision to suspend all trade with Denmark following the publication of cartoon caricatures of the prophet Muhammad in the Danish press (see other articles). “A boycott of Danish products is by definition a boycott of Union products”, Commission spokesman Johannes Laitenberger said. “The Commission is currently studying a possible reaction...
