05/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana has sent a message of support from the EU to the Israeli government, trusting that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will recover from the brain haemorrhage he suffered on Wednesday. Late afternoon Thursday, Mr Sharon was still in a critical condition. The spokesperson for External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner said: “This is a very worrying situation and our thoughts are with his family, the government of Israel and the Israeli people”.
