03/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - The ECPR Standing Group on the European Union is organising its Third Pan-European Conference, under the chairmanship of Frank Schimmelfennig, in Istanbul, from 21 to 23 September 2006. The general sections for reflection are: - theories of European integration; - EU Institutions and politics; - Political economy of the EU; - EU law; Gender policy; EU enlargement and neighbourhood policy; - Foreign policy and external relations. A press release emphasises that the Pan-European Conferences of the Standing Group on the European Union are among the largest academic conferences on the European Union and attract researchers and academics from all over the world.
