03/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - European telecoms operators reduced their CO2 emissions by 7% in 2002-2004, explains ETNO, the European Public Telecommunications Network Operators' Association, in its most recent environmental report, Accountability in Connectivity. Published every two years, the report looks at progress at the 25 telecoms companies that have signed the 1996 ETNO Environment Charter, pledging to cut gas, heating oil and electricity consumption to reduce environmental pollution.
