Brussels, 29/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 21 December, the European Commission announced the agreement of a new five-year fisheries partnership between the EU and Cape Verde from 1 September 2005 to 31 August 2011. It will provide fishing possibilities exclusively for tuna for 84 EU vessels: 25 senners, 11 pole-and-line vessels and 48 surface long-liners.
