05/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Wednesday the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe decided to continue monitoring the situation in the Ukraine and assess changes after the general and local elections in March next year. It is urging Ukraine to pass laws to separate powers and ensure the parliamentary opposition can function appropriately; turn state broadcasters into public service channels; and continuing reforms of the judicial system.
