26/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - CDU elected member Hartmut Nassauer has said that the Turkish government's intention to adopt a declaration of non-recognition of Cyprus when the protocol is signed shows that Turkey is a “very unreliable negotiating partner”. “The EU cannot negotiate accession by a country that is not willing to recognise all the countries that are already members of that same Union”, Mr Nassauer stressed.
