26/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Amsterdam group, an association which brings together the largest producers of beer, wines and alcohol, is to hold a conference in Brussels on 19 October on the theme "Alcohol Education: What Works?". Those taking part in this conference, to include Philippe Brunet, a member of the Cabinet of Commissioner Markos Kyprianou (Health), and Member of the European Parliament Erna Hennicot-Schoepges (EPP-ED, Luxembourg), will look into several options to reduce alcohol abuse efficiently. The conference will take as its basis scientific data and will assess the efficiency of various prevention campaigns which have been implemented.
