Benita Ferrero-Waldner calls on Colonel Gaddafi to release Bulgarian and Palestinian medical personnel

Brussels, 25/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner returned on Wednesday from a two-day visit to Libya where she met Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and Prime Minister Shokri Ghanem to discuss the possibility of moving forward in EU/Libyan relations, including in the context of the Barcelona process. At this stage, the EU does not have any contractual relations with Libya but decided in October 2004 to pursue a more committed policy with this country. Libya...
