10/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - A company consortium composed of HP, Steria, Mummert and Primesphere will be entrusted with the task of developing the second generation Schengen Information System (SIS II) and the Visa Information System (VIS). The contract of EUR 37.5 million covers any development of the SIS II platform, to be completed in March 2007, which would allow borders with the new Member States to be lifted in October 2007, the European Commission states.
