Brussels, 02/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - The President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, thanked the European Union on Wednesday for its “generous” financial and technical assistance to the Palestinian people and government for the creation of a Palestinian State, but he also asked for the EU to become more of a player on the Middle East political stage.
