04/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - Two designate members of the future European Commission, Joaquim Almunia (already in charge of economic and monetary affairs at the Commission) and Peter Mandelson (Commissioner-designate for trade), will be taking par on 10 November in Brussels in a debate on the book, "Economic Reform in Europe: Priorities for the next five years", published by the Policy Network. Participants will include The Centre think-tank, based in Brussels and the book's editors Roger Liddle and Maria Joao Rodriguez, who played a significant role in launching the Lisbon Strategy during the Gutierrez government.
