Brussels, 28/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - Luxembourg Christian Democrat, Astrid Lulling, who presided the Viticulture-Tradition-Quality Intergroup during the last legislature, and Joseph Daul MEP (UMP), who has just been re-elected president of the European Parliament Agriculture Committee, decided to re-constitute the group, which will begin its activities again in September in Strasbourg.
In a press statement, the two MEPs point out that Intergroup between 1999-2004 was particularly active in reform of the common wine-producing market, examining tax questions, nutritional allegations, GMO labelling and wine ingredients, as well as sales promotions. They have announced that the first cases when parliament returns will be WTO negotiations and the European Commission's work on duties and health, as well as the work on labelling and reform of CMO wine.
