Belgian company, UCB (annual turnover EUR 3 bn with workforce of 11,500 will be taking over the British CELLTECH company (bio-technologies) for EUR 2.28 bn (£5.50 per ordinary share). CELLTECH's annual turnover is £350 million and it has a workforce of 1,900.
