24/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Council of the EU adopted a regulation to extend the option for Member States to derogate on the ceiling of 7.5% for impurities and woody parts in flax and hemp until the 2005-2006 campaign. Member States will be able to grant Community aid to producers of short linen fibres with a percentage of impurities between 7.5 and 15%, and for help fibres with a percentage of impurities between 7.5 and 25%.
