24/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - At Tuesday's Agriculture Council, Greece asked for Community procedures to be speeded up to allow farmers who fell victim to the recent rain and snow-storms to be compensated. Athens asked for permission to grant national aid to cover losses, put at 250 million EUR, which were not covered by insurance.
