Presidential elections in Georgia to be monitored

Strasbourg, 29/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - A delegation from the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly, led by Hungarian Liberal Matyas Eorsi, will monitor the Presidential Elections of 4 January in Georgia. The delegation will travel to Georgia from 2 to 7 January where they will meet the candidates and the president of the central electoral commission. The monitoring will be carried out in co-operation with the OSCE and the European Parliament.
