EIB grants loan of 45.9 million EUR for treatment of wastewater in Hungary

Luxembourg, 10/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank has awarded a loan of 45.9 million EUR to fund several investment projects in the cleansing sector in Hungary. They will contribute to the refurbishment, extension of several waste water treatment plants (collection and purification, sludge removal) and bring them in line with EU standards. The plants are located in the country's three regional centres, Debrecen, Kecskemét and Szombathley.
