21/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - The text of the framework decision relating to implementation of decisions to freeze assets or elements of proof within the European Union, a decision adopted on 22 July, took effect on 2 August, the day of its publication in the Official Journal L 196. Nonetheless, Member States have until 2 August 2005 to apply the provisions (EUROPE of 25 July, p.8).
