Brussels, 19/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - A meeting on the evolution of the Interreg III C programme with a view to enlargement will be held on 18 and 19 September in Paris. The Interreg IIIC programme encourages cooperation between regional authorities when there are no common borders, supporting joint projects and the development of cooperation networks. In Paris, representatives of the current Member States and the Acceding States and their administrations, as well as the European Commission, will discuss changes that will entail accession by ten new Member States next May.
In the meantime, several seminars will be held to help candidates receive support under Interreg III C in order to prepare their projects for the new call for proposals to be closed on 26 September. After a first seminar in the southern area, Sweden is organising a seminar for the northern zone in Stockholm on 21 and 22 August, and a seminar for the eastern area will be held in Germany on 2 and 3 September in Regensburg.
