06/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is expected to formally approve in September a decision to grnat EUR 930,000 for a study on an undersea natural gas pipeline between Greece and Italy. The ANA Agency has indicated that the EU's committee for economic aid for trans-European energy networks had decided on 15 July in favour of the co-funding of the study, submitted by the Greek Public Gas Company (SEPA) and Edison the Italian electricity supplier. If the decision is taken by the Commission, the study could be launched by the end of the year.
