01/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - Turkish President Ahmed Necdet Sezer placed his veto, on Monday, on abolition of Article 8 of the anti-terrorist law, an article that bans separatist propaganda. He said the article could "create important dangers to the existence of the Turkish state and the indivisible unity of the State with its country and people". The Turkish Parliament may, however, choose to ignore the veto.
