22/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Socialist group at the European Parliament is organising a hearing on "The Simplification of the Structural Funds" on 26-27 May in Brussels. European Commissioner Barnier and rapporteur Gianni Pittella will be speaking, as well as representatives from local authorities, the Court of Auditors and DG Regional Policy and DG Budget from the European Commission. The Fifteen once again tackled this issue at the Regional Informal Council in Chalcidiki last Friday...
