02/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - Next week the European Commission will be discussing the overhaul of the Community regulation on chemical products based on the proposal of Commissioners Erkki Liikanene and Margot Wallström. Gerassimos Thomas announced that consultation would be launched on the internet. Objectives include: better protection of human health and the environment, while assuring competitiveness of the European chemical industry.
