ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

British VODAFONE is negotiating the acquisition of the minority shareholder stake in three European subsidiaries that it does not yet hold in the total share capital. They are Swedish EUROPOLITAN (controlled at 75% by VODAFONE), Dutch LIBERTEL (77.6%) and Portuguese TELECEL (61.4%). The cash tender amounts to EUR 2 billion.
