DEUTSCHE POST is to buy up the Italian parcel distribution business CASA DI SPEDIZIONE ASCOLI (turnover EUR 80 million in 2002 with 400 employed) for an undisclosed amount. In the United Kingdom, DEUTSCHE POST is also expected to acquire the 50% that it does not yet hold in SECURICOR DISTRIBUTION, for the sum of EUR 300 million.
