14/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - During the opening of the plenary session in Strasbourg, the European Parliament held a one minute silence, on Monday evening, in memory to the former President of the European Commission, Roy Jenkins, from the UK, who died early this month (see EUROPE of 7 January, p.5).
