02/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Council of Europe said on Thursday through the voice of Council President Lydie Polfer that it was closely following the legislative developments that have taken place in Montenegro over the past few weeks, after the proposals of law aimed at strengthening control on the media and the electoral process in Montenegro, currently under discussion within the Republic's parliament (see EUROPE of 1 August, p.3, on the subject of concerns expressed by the EU).
