Rome, 27/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - On 26 March, the Chamber of Deputies ratified the Treaty of Nice. 298 for, 7 no (Rifondatzione Communista), 6 abstentions (Greens). The Northern League voted for the Treaty which they had previously so vehemently decried. The Head of their parliamentay group, Alessandro Cè did, however, point out that the vote did not reflect an enthusiastic acceptance of the Treaty.
