Lisbon, 04/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - At the beginning of the Portuguese Presidency of the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe), Portuguese Foreign Minister Jaime Gama announced to the press that he intended organising a meeting of the OSCE Presidency and the Secretaries General of the EU, NATO, the UN and the Council of Europe in Lisbon this year to "define a common strategy" against terrorism. Mr. Gama said that a special OSCE representative for terrorism would be appointed at the beginning of January, in the context of the action plan against terrorism adopted in Bucharest in December by the 55 OSCE member States.
