ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

British VODAFONE is to bid 312 billion yen for 21.7% of JAPAN TELECOM shares in order to take JAPAN TELECOM over. VODAFONE proposes 450,000 yens per share. The proposition is subject to an offer of a minimum 10% of JAPAN TELECOM shares and to other conditions proper to Japanese regulations. See EI of 17 and 18 September.
